Milan is Italy’s business and fashion capital, and its sights are close together. The Duomo and the Galleria are the centre, with La Scala just north; Brera is the old artists’ quarter with the Pinacoteca; the Navigli canals to the south fill up at aperitivo time; Sant’Ambrogio holds Leonardo’s Last Supper; and Porta Nuova is the new skyline of towers and parks. The metro links them all. Book the Last Supper well ahead. Confirm hours before you go.
