Accessibility at Roam48
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to read and use our guides, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That is a goal we work toward, not a claim that every page meets it today.
What we do
- Use headings, lists and landmarks so pages are easy to follow with a screen reader.
- Write descriptive text for photos and links.
- Keep text readable and let pages work when you zoom in or use a small screen.
- Make forms usable with a keyboard and label every field.
Known limits
Some parts of the site are harder for us to control:
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other free libraries. Our descriptions may not capture everything in a picture.
- Links to maps, venue websites, Yelp and Google Maps open services we don't run, and their accessibility is up to them.
- Booking happens on Expedia, Vrbo and Viator. Their pages and widgets are outside our control.
- Our guides can't confirm step-free access, ramps or accessible rooms at every venue or hotel. Please check with the place directly before you go.
