Vacation rentals
Prefer an apartment or whole home in this neighborhood? Browse Vrbo listings for Rattanakosin (Old Town).
In Thailand, renting a room or home to travellers by the night or week counts as running a hotel under the Hotel Act 2004 and needs a hotel licence. Small places (up to 8 rooms and 30 guests) can instead be notified to the Department of Provincial Administration and inspected. The Interior Ministry said in 2025 that condo units may only be rented for more than a month, and has cracked down on daily condo rentals in Bangkok. Book only licensed or notified properties, or stays of a month or longer.
